Ministry Moments – Bread and Roses

Bread and Roses outreach at Centre Church

The first Wednesday of every month from 8:30 am-10:30 am Centre Church prepares and delivers a meal for 160 or more people to Bread and Roses in Lawrence, MA In winter, the main course is beef stew and potatoes, a real favorite. In summer, the meal changes to ham and macaroni salad. Both meals include bread, fruit and brownies.

To do this, it takes the work of approximately 30 volunteers in a variety of jobs including: food shopping, meal preparation, brownie bakers, food delivery and picking up pans to return to the church for the following month’s meal preparation.

Centre Church spends approximately $270.00 each month to support this program. Volunteers and donations are always appreciated.
