We had a wonderful weekend at Craigville.
Raymond and Dottie taught us what a sukkah is. They had brought large bundles of wood from the clearing of our church parking lot to build one with! We worked together to design a sturdy sukkah frame, then gathered bits of nature from the beach and marsh to finish it off. |
We built it with a beautiful view overlooking the marsh.
It was a pretty chilly weekend, but we still
spent time together on the beach.
Some even went swimming!!
Everyone got up EARLY on Sunday morning to view
the Leonid meteor shower.
We saw hundreds of shooting stars!
Sunday morning, the children helped Raymond
prepare communion.
Then they selected and read the Bible lessons. One was the story
of the Widow's coins.
That brought up the topic of "Widow's Mites".
Do you know that they are real coins, still traded by coin
collectors today?
They are!
