Who We Are

Centre Congregational Church is a gathering of young and old, men and women, girls and boys, married, single and divorced individuals. We are liberals and conservatives, Democrats and Republicans, believers and skeptics, former Roman Catholics, Jews as well as life long Protestants, including but not limited to, Congregationalists. We are all sorts of people from all walks of life, who are united in a common purpose. We are seeking to discover God's unfolding purpose for our lives and our world, as revealed through Jesus Christ.

Mission Statement

Centre Congregational Church is a haven of believers and skeptics seeking to worship God and follow Christ by:

  • welcoming all and accepting differences;
  • inspiring generosity;
  • nurturing children and youth in a safe environment;
  • growing in mind and spirit;
  • laughing, talking, eating, and worshiping together;
  • pushing into the deep water of the future.

We are a self-governing, Open & Affirming congregation of the United Church of Christ.
