Centre Church is here for you in your time of need. Funeral and Memorial Services typically take place on weekdays either at 10:00 AM or at 1:00 PM or on weekends. We can work with you to make accommodations for other days and times, if necessary.

Our peaceful sanctuary seats up 350 guests and our more intimate chapel can accommodate 150 people comfortably. Member and non-member off-site funerals are also available.

We have pianos in both worship spaces and the sanctuary is home to an organ as well. If you elect to incorporate music into the service, we can provide a musician and/or soloist. Alternately, you may invite family members or friends to sing or play instruments. If you’d like to have congregational singing, we have New Century Hymnals in every pew and the pastor can work with you to choose appropriate hymns.

We have ample parking in our lot behind the main building as well as parking to the side of our chapel, and plentiful street parking. Our entire facility is handicap accessible via ramps and elevator. We have two large halls on the lower level if you choose to hold a reception at the church instead of a restaurant or the family home.

In the case of funerals, your family members usually meet with a Funeral Director at the funeral home of your choice. The Funeral Director contacts the church office to make arrangements for the service. The pastor will contact the family to make a pastoral care visit and to plan the service. We will work with you to provide suggestions for readings, music, and service format.

With memorial services, you may contact the church office directly. The pastor will meet with you to learn about your loved one and to plan the service. We will work with you to provide suggestions for readings, music, and service format.

If there will be a casket present; of interest to the pallbearers is that sanctuary access is all one level, while there is a short flight of stairs to the chapel.

Donations to Centre Church may be made in honor of your loved one. We are deeply grateful to those that encourage donations in memory of loved ones. Donations may be made using the "Online Giving" button in our lefthand scroll bar, or mailed to: Centre Congregational Church, 5 Summer Street, Lynnfield, MA 01940.
